Our thoughts on the Eclipse 1000 HR

The Eclipse 1000 HR elliptical trainer is known for its solid and sturdy body frame. For a machine under $1,000, you will not see any cobbling regardless of your intensity level. Despite its solid frame, the machine is compact and is very portable. In fact, the Eclipse 1000 HR comes with caster wheels, so you can move this elliptical machine from one room to another.

With 10 different pre-set programs, you can easily have a different workout for each day of the week. The Eclipse 1000HR also has 2 heart rate controlled programs which allow you to track and monitor your heart rate over an extended period of time.

The main drawbacks of the Eclipse 1000HR are:

(a) the upper height limit of 5 foot 5 inches

(b) an elliptical stride of 16 inches.

As much as we like this elliptical trainer, many people won't be able to take advantage of such a solid, yet economical elliptical machine.

If height is not an issue for you, then we strongly recommend the Eclipse 1000 HR for your home exercise needs.
